2. Definitions

"Consumer" means any natural person acquiring goods or using services not intended for commercial or professional activity (per §13(1) of the Additional Provisions to the Bulgarian Consumer Protection Act). "Order" means a request to purchase goods made through the Store’s functionality.

3. Contract formation

A contract between Kafetama and the Consumer is concluded at the moment Kafetama sends an electronic confirmation of receipt of the order to the email address provided by the Consumer. Before placing an order, the Consumer reviews the description and characteristics of the goods, their price, and delivery terms. By confirming the order, the Consumer accepts these Terms.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are in euros (EUR) including VAT, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Pursuant to the Bulgarian Euro Adoption Act, between 8 August 2025 and 8 August 2026 prices are displayed simultaneously in euros and Bulgarian leva at the official fixed rate 1 EUR = 1.95583 BGN. Accepted payment methods:

  • Cash on delivery (cash or card paid to the courier)
  • Online card payment (Visa, Mastercard) via a registered payment service provider

From 1 January 2026 onwards, online card payments are processed exclusively in EUR. The Store does not store card numbers — they are handled directly by the registered payment provider.

5. Delivery

Delivery is provided within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria by Speedy AD and Econt Express OOD courier networks, within 1–2 business days after the order has been confirmed and processed. The shipping cost is calculated and displayed at the last checkout step depending on the chosen courier and method (to office or to address).

The risk of accidental loss or damage of the goods passes to the Consumer at the moment of physical delivery to the Consumer or a third party indicated by the Consumer.

6. Right of withdrawal

The Consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 (fourteen) calendar days of receipt of the goods, without giving reasons and without owing compensation, pursuant to Art. 50 of the Bulgarian Consumer Protection Act. The full procedure is described on the "Right of withdrawal and returns" page.

7. Statutory guarantee of conformity

In the event of non-conformity with the contract, the Consumer is entitled to free remedy — repair or replacement — under the Bulgarian Act on the Provision of Digital Content and Sale of Goods. The statutory guarantee period is 24 months from the date of delivery. Complaints are accepted in writing at hello@kafetama.com, accompanied by a copy of the proof of purchase and a description of the defect.

8. Personal data

Personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Bulgarian Personal Data Protection Act. See "Privacy Policy" for details.

9. Alternative dispute resolution

In the event of a dispute, the Consumer may approach a Conciliation Commission attached to the Bulgarian Commission for Consumer Protection (KZP) or file a complaint via the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Amendments

The Store reserves the right to amend these Terms. Amendments take effect upon publication on the website and do not affect contracts already concluded. The Consumer is deemed informed of amendments on the next visit to the Store.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Bulgarian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Commerce Act, the Commerce Act, and the Obligations and Contracts Act. Disputes are settled by the competent Bulgarian court at the trader’s registered seat.
