Hario
Japan
Hario is a Japanese heatproof-glass manufacturer founded in Tokyo in 1921 as Hiromu Sibata Works, originally producing laboratory glassware. The company has since become one of the most recognised names in specialty coffee, best known as the designer of the V60 — a 60-degree conical dripper with a single large outlet and spiral internal ribs, released in 2005.
Beyond the V60 line of plastic, ceramic, glass and metal drippers, Hario manufactures matching paper filters, glass servers, gooseneck kettles, syphon brewers and cold-brew carafes — much of it in heatproof borosilicate glass at the company's Japanese factories.
